Depending on the exchange you are calling, a call could be local, local plus, or long distance. The distance between the origination point of the call and the place being called determines the call type and any related charges. This is true within any area code.
Local Plus Calls
Calls are billed as local plus when they are made to destinations outside the local area, but not as far as the long distance area. Our current rate for a local plus call is $0.02 per minute for the first minute and $0.02 for each additional minute, and is billed in whole minutes.
